Important changes to The Termination of Employment Law (24/1967)
Employment and Immigration Law
The amending law was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic on 25 July 2016 and, based on the new provision, an employee who is absent from work due to incapacity for a period of up to twelve (12 ) months, cannot be dismissed during the period commencing on the first day of absence and ending on the last day of a  time-period, estimated by adding the duration of absence and the fourth (¼) thereof. read more
